Legal Support for low income residents

Local legal assistance for low incolme residents (most of which are rent-control tenants) are vulnerable to eviction because Legal Aid can't meet the demand of people being served unlawful detainers. Eviction Defense Network operates from Downtown Los Angeles. I presented the idea to Supervisor Lindsey Horvath to open a EDN WEST in Santa Monica to serve the area. This can also serve all the West Side of Los Angeles County and other wesside ciities can support with grants. Neighborhoos that were once overlooked become desirable and this puts pressure in the long time residents of those areas.
